Background and Aim: Body image has been defined as the picture we have in our minds of the size, shape, and form of our bodies and refers to our feelings concerning these characteristics and our constituent body parts. The aim of his study was the psychometric of body image concern inventory (BICI). Materials and Methods: Sample size of 591 students in Tehran were selected by stratified multiphase cluster sampling. To calculate the convergent validity of BICI, multidimentional student’s life satisfaction scale and Frost multidimensiooal perfectionism scale were implemented. Confirmatory factor structure for the first-order approach to BICI estimated using weighted least squares (WLS) criteria for assessing the adequacy of the data model with RMR, RMSEA, CFI, AGFI, GFI, 2c, / df2 and 2 used. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of BICI was above 0.70 and the limit was satisfactory. Results: Factor structure of the BICI with using confirmatory factor analysis was confirmed. Correlation coefficient analysis showed that BICI is a significant negative correlation with multidimentional student’s life satisfaction scale (P<0.01) and Frost multidimensiooal perfectionism scale (P<0.01) which shows the convergent validity. The result showed that the mean scores of girls on both subscales are higher than boys. Conclusion: Confirmatory factor structure, reliability and validity of the BICI for research applications and clinical diagnostics were within acceptable limits.
