Background and Aim: The severity of labor pain perception is influenced by many factors including cultural, social, environmental, and psychological effects. Materials and Methods: In this analytical study, 300 pregnant women were selected randomly. The data was collected by interview, questionnaire, and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) assessed the severity of pain. The data analyzed by descriptive statistical methods, Chi-squared test, linear and logistic regression analysis using SPSS.18. Results: The average severity pain was found 8.212.65 and 8.102.48 in primiparous and multiparous, respectively. In addition, the severity of pain showed association with body image, fear and anxiety. Conclusion: The severity of labor pain seems to be anticipated by various factors such as body image, environmental factors, fear, anxiety, etc. However, our findings are in discordance with those of some other studies.
