:: Instruction to Authors ::
Aims and Scope: Pejouhandeh is a peer-reviewed multi-disciplinary medical publication, scheduled to appear bimonthly serving as a means for scientific information exchange in a local medical forum. The journal particularly welcomes contributions relevant to medical and paramedical investigations. This Journal accepts Original Papers and Letters to the Editor. Peer-Review System of Pejouhandeh: Manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial board to ensure their appropriateness relevant to the framework of the journal. Manuscripts are also excluded by the editors if there are major faults in the methodology of research. Peer-reviews are handled anonymously and comments are discussed in weekly editorial sessions. Reviews are then sent to the corresponding authors for proposed modifications and the new version of the manuscript would be peer-reviewed for a second time by one or two reviewers. Finally the editorial board will decide to accept or reject an article. Submission: Always submit three copies of the article and two sets of photographs, illustrations, diagrams, etc, to the journal office. Manuscript must be accompanied by a covering letter to the Editor-in-Chief, including title and author(s) name. Manuscript should be typed in double space on one side of the A4 size paper with clear margins on both sides. Tables as well as illustrations should be typed and drawn on a separate paper. Do not submit tables as photographs. Authors will be asked to declare that their manuscripts are exclusively submitted to Pejouhandeh, have not been previously published in other local journal (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review or thesis), and are not under consideration by another journal. The transmittal letter should designate one author as correspondent and all other authors should personally sign the submission cover letter. Authors are responsible for all statements made in their work. The right is reserved to incorporate any changes deemed necessary by the editorial board to make contributions harmonize with the editorial standards of the journal. The authors may propose three potential reviewers in the filed of the study; however, their endorsement depends on the editorial decision. Online Submission: Pejouhandeh provides an online submission and peer review system that enables authors to submit their papers online and track progress. For online submission refer to the website at: www.pajoohande.com. Once the article is accepted for submission, the manuscript should be e-mailed or saved on a CD accompanied by a matched hard copy. Manuscript should be in Microsoft Word 2003 or later format. The figures should be sent in a format of JPEG or GIF or the original high resolution hard copies must be sent. The entire article should be submitted as a single file. Do not insert tables in references. Write on CD the software package used and the name of the authors. Copyright Transfer: All the articles published in this journal are protected by copyright, which covers the exclusive rights to reproduce and distribute the article, as well as all translation right. No material published in this journal may be reproduced photographically or stored on microfilm, in electronic databases, video disks, etc. without first obtaining written permission from the publisher.
